For a number of the programs there are training manuals and videos which will assist you in covering important information in the comfort of your own home while allowing for future review of the information.
Excluding the classroom work, your dives may take as little as one day, or maybe a weekend, depending on the specialty. Check with your store to see how soon you can complete the course, or whether you can spread the dives out (if you are pushed for time).
