Speciality Courses » Underwater Photographer

The wonders experienced in the underwater world are very difficult to describe to a non-diver. The best way for them to see the true beauty is to enjoy photographs which will show them sites they're missing. Underwater photographs are also great for helping you to re-live a memorable day.

There's a wide range of underwater camera systems available to suit almost any price range but many techniques needed for crisp, clear underwater pictures remain the same.

These techniques are covered during your PADI Underwater Photography specialty course. If you have your own camera, bring it along and we will show you how to get better pictures from it. If not, we may have some cameras available for hire during the course.

The course includes:

The planning, organisation, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of underwater photography
Diving photographic principles, composition, film types, flash/available light
Photography and camera-handling techniques
The preparation, care and maintenance of photographic equipment
